Bells to Blue Hole :

The Blue Hole is without a doubt a world famous site for advanced divers. The dive starts up the coast a bit at the Bells, a big crack in the coral wall with a straight drop to 26m, coming under an archway at the end. Following the enormous (and virtually bottomless) coral wall to the south you will encounter unspoiled corals, overhangs and many different types of marine life.
Crossing the so called “saddle” will take you into the famous Blue Hole itself. The coral inside the hole has suffered due to the large amounts of snorkellers, but the dive and the deep blue water of the hole will make your heart pound anyway…

The Canyon :

The canyon dive is famous all over the world, and not without reason. After entering into a big lagoon, you will come to one of the most exciting advanced dive sites around Dahab. The Canyon is a 30m dive into the seabed with an amazing view upward from the inside.
The clear blue water runs into the crack at the bottom of the sea and takes you back up into the “fishbowl”. The hollow coral pinnacle is home to hundreds of Glassfish that swim around you while you’re in there. Stretch out your hands towards them and they will swim away from you in one big movement, to come back soon after that to reclaim their place in the fishbowl.

Canyon Coral Garden :

The Coral Garden lies alongside the Canyon and features many types of coral. While diving along a steep drop off, you might just bump into a Turtle, a Giant Moray or even a Stingray. The drop lies at about 18m down so can be dived as an Open Water as well as an Advanced dive.
Going along the slope you can look out into the deep blue watching out for the really big fish. On the other side of the Canyon is another interesting place for diving. On a sandy slope the are a few sand eels and usually a fair few puffer fish, giving this site the well deserved name of Puffy Park.

Lighthouse Reef :

The Lighthouse Ref is known as the training site of Dahab, and shows us an amazing reef. It has a sandy slope which is ideal for shallow water work, like on the Open Water Course, Checkouts and Introductory dives. The Lighthouse Reef offers a great dive both for Open Water and Advanced divers. As a deep dive the lighthouse is very different than as a shallower dive, revealing some large and beautiful coral pinnacles.
The reef itself goes along a rocky point, with a mirage of soft and hard corals. The aquatic life there is amazingly varied. You can find turtles, damselfish, clownfish, stonefish, lionfish, morays, rays, and a huge number of unicorn fish here. Even dolphins have been spotted here.

Eel Garden

The sites name kind of gives it away already: a dive to the Eel Garden will reveal the hundreds of sand eels living here. The Eels which look almost like shiny silver ribbons, poke their heads out of a sandy slope and vanish into the bottom as soon as you come too close.
The constant moving away of the eels and the sliding slope, give you the feeling of being on an entirely different planet. Other than the eels there is a large array of other marine life and wonderful coral, among which is an L-shaped pinnacle with overhanging soft coral surrounded by fish.

Mashraba Reef :

Not only is this dive site our own house reef, it is also a very nice one. The site can be dived in a number of ways so is suitable for both Open Water and Advanced divers. The coral wall and surrounding pinnacles that lead to the point of the reef have a large amount of underwater life. At the point itself is a pinnacle that is usually covered with hundreds of fish.
Mashraba is the place to see crocodile-fish, the gigantic Napoleon wrasse and the blue spotted stingray. But we do not only dive this site during the day, because at night a totally different kind of life comes out. At that time there's flashlight fish, shrimps, maybe a Spanish dancer and also the sparkling phosphorescence.

Eel Garden to Lighthouse :

The Eel garden to the Lighthouse is probably the longest dive in Dahab. Meant as a drift-dive, the route along the reef usually takes about an hour. This makes the dive only accessible for divers with good air-consumption. The entry is into the little lagoon at the Eel garden. Then you turn to the right and follow the reef along till you get to the Lighthouse. In the middle of the dive you run into a huge Gorgonian fan coral, and the fact that not that many people have the air to dive it, makes that the coral is in good shape and well worth having a good look at.

Om Sid :

This dive-site lies on the south side of Dahab. Over half an hour ride away, this site is almost in the middle of nowhere. Surrounded by mountains and looking out over the majestic heights of Saudi Arabia you jump into a little pool and descend along a sandy slope, down to a place with lots of table-corals, fish, an eel garden of it's own and a stunning reef.
As with some of the other sites around Dahab, Om Sid can be done as an Open Water or as an Advanced dive. Both ways of diving Om Sid - shallow or deep - show you different kinds of underwater life. As these sites are a bit further out of Dahab, they are not dived as often as some others are, and so much of the coral is in very fine condition.
